Matthew never thought he would leave his job. But that is just what he did when he
heard Jesus say, “Come, follow me.” And his life was changed forever. Matthew was
an eyewitness to the ministry of Jesus. He saw Jesus heal the sick and heard him
teach the people. As an apostle, Matthew was at the Last Supper. Matthew saw the
Risen Christ when he appeared to the apostles in Galilee on Easter Sunday.
