“A ministry to live out the Gospel of Matthew 25:31-47, embracing the social justice arm of our parish”.

This will be an ongoing ministry that will reach out to those in need, in the City of Arvada, as well as the front range area.   Among other things, this ministry will include a Sack Lunch program, 3 times a year, and we also plan to include an annual speaker program, encouraging parishioners to go out and BE the church”.

Parish Ambassador

The Ambassador Program – working directly with the pastor, the Ambassador Program provides support to the parish by partnering with Denver Catholic Charities’ charitable ministries, its resources and the community to open up communication to better serve the poor and those in need.

The objective of the Ambassador Program is to increase the communication and collaboration between the Shrine of St. Anne Parish and Denver Catholic Charities. The fruits of this program include, but are not limited to:

  1. Communication – The Ambassador acts as the liaison of information between Shrine of St. Anne Parish and the resources available through Denver Catholic Charities.
  2. Trainings – The Ambassador is informed through regular communications and meetings with Catholic Charities and brings the knowledge back to Shrine of St. Anne Parish.
  3. Service – The Ambassador assists in giving more people access to spiritual and material resources by connecting the people to Denver Catholic Charities with the support of leaders of the other organizations within our Parish.Social Ministry - Shrine of St. Anne’s Social Ministry is an ongoing activity throughout the year that provides assistance and fellowship to members of our parish, as well as to the immediate and extended community in Arvada and Colorado. We invite you to participate in any of the following rewarding and important activities during the year

  • Clothing Drive - In the fall, the parish gathers hats and gloves and donates the articles of clothing to Denver’s Samaritan House or to programs that help cloth the homeless. For this activity the entire parish is requested to provide donations and we ask for volunteers to assist us with the sorting of items received.   Help is also needed with loading and unloading of items to their destination.
  • Christmas Giving Tree
Join us for this long-time Parish tradition by helping us provide Christmas joy and presents to inner city parishes through our Christmas Giving Tree for children. We ask the entire parish to take a tag from the trees and provide appropriate new toys and gifts cards for children and teens. There is also a need for volunteers to help sort, pack and deliver the presents close to Christmas time! Great fun!
  • Arvada Religious Ministry (ARMs)
Social Ministry supports special "ARMs" programs throughout the year, providing help for families and women in dire economic and social situations. One ARM’s program is the putting together of dinner baskets for delivery to families in need through the ARMS Food Pantry. We need volunteer sorters, packers, van loaders and deliverers for this vibrant activity

Watch the church weekly bulletin for announcements and details of these activities.
