In order that the Eucharist may be readily received, authorization was given in 1973 for unordained (therefore extraordinary) people to distribute communion. These ministers are men and women at least 18 years of age and fully initiated into the Church with the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Their ministry is to serve the Holy Eucharist under both species (bread and wine) to the assembly. Training is required. Scheduling is done monthly according to your preferred Mass time.

Some ministers of the Eucharist are specially trained to minister to the sick and shut-ins. They are instructed in the "Rites of Giving Communion to the Sick" and are made aware of the sensitivities and special needs of the people they serve.

If you are interested in serving this ministry, please call the parish office at 303-420-1280.

Greeters are couples, entire families and single members of our parish. Each Sunday they are at all church entrances to give a friendly welcome to all who come to celebrate the liturgy.

The lector makes the Word of God living and active in the midst of the assembly. Ministers of the word have a love for the Scripture. They also have the basic skills of effective reading and develop their skills through practice. One two-hour training session is required. Scheduling is done monthly according to your preferred Mass time.

Music is an integral part of our worship. The musicians minister to the assembly by teaching, leading and supporting them with vocal harmony and musical instruments. We welcome help in these areas: 1. People who are musically talented 2. Who are interested in studying the liturgy and 3. Who would like to make suggestions for the music of the liturgy.

Please call Mary Russell at 303517-5048 is you are interested in joining this ministry!

Sacristans aid in allowing the Liturgy to be all that it can be by making sure all ministries are involved and are as organized and informed as possible. Sacristans ensure a well-tuned celebration of the Mass by setting out the wine, hosts, chalice cups, etc. They give directions to lectors, Eucharistic ministers, greeters, ushers and altar servers. In general, they make sure everyone is accounted for and ready to fulfill their roles. Training is done on an individual basis and there are no regularly scheduled meetings.

To volunteer for this ministry, please call the parish office at 303-420-1280.

Ushers are people oriented men and women who are ministers of the church and servants of the faith community. Ushers assist with the seating and comfort of the people assembled, the taking up of the collection, communion procession and generally work towards making Sunday Mass a good worship experience for all.
